Answers to common questions about commercial property management in Bozeman and Belgrade, from switching managers to monthly reporting. Don't see your question? Give us a call at 406-209-9100.
We manage commercial property only: office, retail, industrial, flex, and mixed-use buildings. Focusing on commercial means our systems, reporting, and experience are built around NNN and modified gross leases, CAM recoveries, and the needs of business tenants.
Bozeman, Belgrade, and the surrounding Gallatin Valley. We are based in Bozeman, so we can be on site quickly when a building needs us.
Every building is different, so we quote each one individually after reviewing its size, leases, and tenant mix. Contact us and we will put together a proposal for your property.
Yes. MVM is licensed and insured in Montana, and we are members of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Start by checking the termination and notice terms in your current management agreement. Once notice is given, we coordinate the handoff directly with the outgoing manager: leases and amendments, tenant ledgers, security deposits, vendor contracts, keys and access, and prior-year CAM reconciliations. Tenants receive a notice explaining where to pay rent and how to reach us, so the change is smooth on their end.
We abstract every lease, set the building up in our accounting system, review vendor contracts and insurance, confirm CAM budgets and estimates, and walk the property to document its condition. If we find billing errors from prior years, we bring them to you with a plan to correct them.
Yes. Setting up new buildings from delivery is one of our specialties. See New Building Onboarding for how that works.
You receive itemized monthly owner statements covering income, expenses, and tenant balances, available anytime through the owner portal. We also prepare annual operating and CAM budgets and year-end reconciliations.
CAM reconciliation is included in full-service management. Every charge is tied back to each tenant's lease, and you review the reconciliation before statements go to tenants. See CAM Reconciliation for the full process.
Owners log in to the owner portal to view statements, financials, and maintenance activity. Use the Portal Login button at the top of any page.
Tenants use the tenant portal to pay rent online, submit and track maintenance requests, and view their lease information.
We respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours, and emergencies are handled right away. We maintain relationships with vetted local vendors so work gets done quickly and at fair prices.
